The Truman Show

this movie trusts the audience so much it’s kinda crazy. it doesn’t set anything up except for the fact that truman is in a tv show and he doesn’t know it. yet, it immediately registers the first time the movie cuts to someone watching the truman show that they’re part of the audience. there’s no exposition or a zoom out from the television screen to show u that they’re a tv audience member. it’s masterful filmmaking and holy fuck that space gray turtleneck he’s wearing at the end is sexy asl.
