Brokeback Mountain is peak “ I love you, but I can’t be with you.” Energy, set against these gorgeous Mountain views and major emotional tension. Heath ledger, and Jake Gyllenhaal characters are seriously repressed, which makes the whole thing feel like one big slow motion heartbreak. It’s about love that’s messy, hidden, and ultimately tragic-like “ I’m not crying, you’re crying” tragic. If you’re in the mood to be wrecked by forbidden love story that just hits, this one’s a five stars all the way.
