Lady Bird
have you ever watched a movie and felt personally attacked in the best way? That was me with Lady Bird. When I heard the question ‘Aren’t love and attention the same thing?’ I just sat there, like, wow, thanks for that emotional damage. The whole mom-daughter thing hit me hard. It’s so real—the bickering, the guilt, the love that’s always there but never quite said the right way.
And beyond the story, it’s just beautiful. The way Sacramento is filmed makes it feel like its own character, and the score was just perfect. It gives every moment this extra layer of nostalgia and feeling.
It’s the kind of movie that makes you laugh, cry, and maybe think about calling your mom (even if she’d immediately ask why you never call). Definitely loved it.
