I DON’T EVEN LIKE CHOCOLATE but I feel so maternal towards this whole movie… I actually cried during the whole thing. This is one of the best movies I’ve seen this year. Idc what anyone says. I’m going to sleep, eat, think, repeat wonka in my soul forever. I’m going to reference every line in this movie and pay everyone’s rent by listening TF out of the soundtrack. Cast? WOW! Soundtrack? WOW! Plot? WOW! Visuals? WOW! Costumes? WOW! The world building and pure whimsy of it all? WOW! Also I need a miniature figure of Hugh Grant as an Oompa Loompa IMMEDIATELY. I couldn’t stop looking at him. Jumpscare, but who knew he’d play an Oompa Loompa so well im crying I LOVE Wonka. I’m gonna cry. I AM crying. Everything about this was perfect and I wouldn’t change a single thing. I’m going to get everyone in my environment onto this movie. I’m rewatching it tomorrow and I will be bothering everyone about it. So if you’re a friend of mine reading this… prepare 🫰🏻 wait rant time ok dude i remember back when they were still producing the movie and a bunch of behind the scenes clips came out and one of them was the banner i have on this review… fucked me tf up. (idk why i waited this long to watch it don’t ask ok) i am so inlove with timothee man. I used to have a whole wall with nothing but posters of him and his movies 🥀 Opera was mentioned in this movie so time for ballet… Don’t say weird shit timmy! Don’t invalidate other people’s art js bc u arent involved it in ho… i still love him sm, but he was weird for saying that lol Anyway im so excited to rewatch this with family and friends don’t play im memorising the script as i write this peak peak 🫰🏻
