American Psycho
Positives:
One of the best protagonists ever.
Great internal monologue that defines who Bateman is.
Good symbolism.
Brilliant ambiguous ending.
Great themes.
Every character does their part of what theyre meant to be.
Interesting psychology.
Negatives:
Basically every character is dislikable outside of Bateman and Jean. (And one of them was made to be disliked.)
People misunderstanding it. (Not a problem with the movie, just annoys me.)
On first watch it was like 4 stars but upon watching an analysis on Youtube titled American Psycho: The Corpse Of Masculinity (go watch it) and then rewatching it myself, I realised how brilliantly made it was.
