Turtles Can Fly

'they know maths and science they need to learn to shoot now' This incredibly powerful and shocking war film shows the alienation and loss of youth brought by war through the brilliant and unfiltered child performances which were almost reinacted due to the casting of kids who experienced the war allowing the dark humour and themes of detachment are very present allowing for one of the most well directed and powerful anti-dictatorship and war films through the shocking ending and rawness of it. a very good 4.5 star movie.
