Yi Yi

'life is a mixture of happy and sad things' This movie creates incredible emotional depth and delves into the unfortunate lives that these people are living as well as showing the effect through youthful and innocent performances from Johnathan Chang which contrasts the loud and emotional performances of Hsi-shen chen who delivers a performance comparable to Toshiro Mifune in seven samurai with loud outbursts which show the struggle that he is going through. This creates a well shot and emotionally deep movie that almost brought me to tears with the speech of Yang Yang at the end that shows hope and desperation and Capps off the depth that this film builds on. this is a absolutely brilliant 4.5 star movie
