Sinners

Loved this show. I loved the cinematography and the incorporation of music. This film to me translates into the message of Hollywood and pop culture in today's time being filled with many different bad influences that can be very hard to distinguish, especially when they are so interesting or fun. Another take is that they might also be trying to hint at the film industry and actors "selling themselves" for fame, hence the gold coins that remmick offers. Not being able to refuse what is so enticing even though it's bad for you. My favourite scene was the one where Sammy plays his blues in Club Juke and they show the effect and power of music by bringing in cultures and music from past and present. That scene was so orphic. I wish I could watch this again for the first time. Perfect balance of action, thriller, drama and music.
