Borrrrinnnggggggggg

A very strange movie in a lot of ways. Its tone is kinda all over the place, there’s a lot of hokey and awkward dialogue, some of the effects are jarring, the pacing is a bit odd, but it’s all built around this bleeding heart that I just couldn’t help but be enamored by. Like I could love this movie I think, but right now I don’t. Holy cow that ending sequence was so effective though wow. Need Emily Blunt to stop doing that to her face. She’s so good in this and she looks so freaky it’s distracting.

Feels very underbaked? I didn’t find it particularly scary which surprised me. But there’s probably more cool stuff here than gripes. Boards of Canada mentioned!!

Millennial nostaligiaslop that I have no nostalgia for. It hits all the referential beats you’d expect but does so in a largely non impressive nor distressing way. Kind of a mess but I had a better time than I went in expecting to That Nick Galazizi or whatever is a real star
