Media Magpie

Man I couldn’t stop grinning as I got to take my Dad, his mate and his son to see The Blues Bros - Anniversary Screening + Pre Live Show at the Hayden Orpheum.  My dad and his mate are massive fans of the movie and people came up to them to get photos as they were dressed as Jake and Elwood. The tribute band that played was amazing and was so interactive with the crowd I honestly would have paid to just see them. Honestly the plot of this movie is simple and the acting is decent. But it’s the music that makes this movie shine. As they were on a mission from God.

Of course they get the Aussie actress to go on a pub crawl for her birthday. Jokes aside, I was really really excited for this movie. I love The Superman movie and David Corenswet is my Superman. Don’t get me wrong I think Milly Alcock does an incredible job as Supergirl and Jason Momoa is better suited as Lobo. But I felt the start of this movie the pacing was a bit off and didn’t spend any time to develop Ruthye or Lobo. So I just didn’t care. I did really like the backstory of Krypton and it was done well. Also why was the villain more ruthless when killing the brides but when it came to killing Ruthye, he was toying with her, that kind of pissed me off. Overall not the movie I expected but it wasn’t the worst
