"Woooo" I know nothing about Michael Jackson except the moonwalk and his name. I picked this purely because the music in the trailer sounded amazing, and the film delivered exactly that. I had an absolute blast, mostly because of the music. It felt less like a biopic and more like a concert, and the performances only enhanced that feeling further. Everyone is great, including the child actors, and the father-son dynamic lands well. A couple of criticisms though. The animal lover arc gets a bit too much screen time. And the film overall feels more like a highlight reel of Michael Jackson's life rather than a deep dive, with very little real world conflict beyond the family dynamics and his personal struggles. But I am seated for the sequel. They better name it Jackson next time.
