Sunset Boulevard

Watched the recent 4k restoration at an old Imax screen, first time watching it and this was certainly the way to do it (even if it was interrupted by an alarm in the aquarium that also resides in the old imax building having an alarm go off!) I knew the film was considered one of the greats before watching it and it certainly lived up to the reputation. Brilliant acting, writing and cinematography. Gloria Swanson was just absolutely fucking amazing. Buster Keaton saying "pass" was the real highlight though. Fucked up he didn't get nominated for an Oscar. The 4K restoration looks really good. Cheers to the fine folk at South West Silents/Film Noir UK for putting this double feature on.
