This is the catastrophe that occurs when you switch directors.

The moment Maleficent woke up and howled in pain is when I realised “oh, him thieving her wings is a metaphor for assault”  It really does leave the deepest pit in your stomach when you cherish someone’s existence wholeheartedly and then they decide to hurt you.

One of the best animated projects I’ve seen in a while. The ripe flattening of the skull, gauging of the zombie gut and the gore in general gave me so much joy. And hey, Wanda is wrong but at least she’s winning in some universe.
