Frankenstein

one of my most anticipated films of the year and i was initially worried based on how people were reacting, but i thought this was absolutely beautiful. regardless of whether or not this was a direct adaptation, i really loved this. my only gripe is that this should have been experienced on the big screen. “perhaps now, we can both be human.” as it means opposite things for frankenstein and the creature was wonderful. and ending on the creature and the sun—when one of the first things he learned was “the sun is life”—as he allows himself to truly live, was perfect. “you are a good man, and you are my friend.” wrecked me. i was not prepared.
