Visuals are actually so freaking good I’m so satisfied. bro like a mix of the found footage creepy pasta scenes in the actual backrooms with the levels bro the Christmas tree scene was like crazy nostalgic feelings like it looked exactly like the levels it was so blurry and cool omg. The pool rooms were so cool. The movie was surprisingly metaphorical and I could sense a message early on, the dinner table scene jeeeeez. Basically the backrooms is this altered version of reality that waters it down and strips the real identity of people, especially the character defining flaws. Eye-opening. If anyone says the ending or movie overall was underwhelming, they’re lying through their teeth and they don’t see the bigger image. Just say ur psychologically unintelligent . The movie didn’t give a resolution or big climax or ending because it wasn’t NECESSARY its does nothing for the story. The backrooms was a concept no one understood and it changed the lives of the characters, most of them died bruh like thats that. The whole backrooms making everything a memory within itself is so good, it lit tells us there’s so much more the understand, that it’s only right the movies ends where she stops fighting for her life. I wish I understood her more(main gal) because there was constant imagery of her childhood, which we see was interpreted by the backrooms early on when we thought it was just the furniture story. But we never went deep into why it was important. Her mom was psychologically unstable and implemented that onto her early on in her childhood, like not letting her leave her home and covering the windows with newspapers. But she dwelled on her past and held on the the handprint she got from the concrete. Then killed main guys backrooms version with in, breaking it into pieces. Which prolly relates to her fighting the problem we see in him, which is whining about how the world works and putting yourself to the point where you disturb the people around you, and creating a conflicting situation for them and claiming you have no fault in it. Which is a problem is society. Placing the blame creating a loop of fault. But she abandoned that, she didn’t throw around the blame. She revisited the thought of her mother but she had no pity within her perception of it. She didn’t pity herself, she didn’t act on self hatred like he did. She understands him however, because he wasn’t a bad guy, he was a example of how her led himself to his own falling. The ending was just a shock to my brain i literally like didn’t know how to act my mouth was just open I was stuck in thought. I was so just like shell shocked with how they didn’t provide a resolution. I loved it it felt realistic it felt saddening it felt like the story was far from complete but perfectly communicated in a sense of time and depiction. I loved it good acting . AMAZING SOUND DESIGN.
