It doesn’t matter if I’m right or if I’m wrong about that, it just matters that I feel it.

This was actually an extremely sad movie to watch rather than a scary one. In the first half of the movie it realistically shows the hardships of grief, single parenting and having someone in your life who isn’t quite ‘right’. The scary parts of the movie were done pretty well although I did expect a lot more jump-scares. I think the true artistry of this movie is the story of the mental decline through both the mother and son’s experience. And unpopular opinion but I actually really felt bad for the son.

I’ve never cried because of a horror movie before, this was so sad
