Watching this movie as a 16 year old at her wokest is a whole other experience than watching this at 7 years old through rose tinted glasses. It's the way there's so little good things about this movie. Not only the obvious racism and mysoginy, meaning the way the Indians, the mermaids and tinker bell are portrayed, but genuinely every little detail in this. "Girls talk too much" and "the indian in cunning but not intelligent" and "why a jealous female can be convinced of anything." Not a second goes by without me being annoyed at something, it really made a 80 minute movie feel like eternity. And above all of that, none of the characters are enjoyable except for Micheal and the crocodile.

Boy with too high ego gets emotionally abused by his teacher and the ending justifies it because without his teacher he never would've been pushed beyond what's expected of him, but I did feel for Andrew at some point and started crying, so I guess there's that.
