how good is that kid who played jamie???!!!! owen cooper wow. my favorite performance from a child actor since anatomy of a fall. non-gratuitous but explicit in its resolve, and extremely necessary during a time where parents are becoming increasingly tolerant of brewing hatred in their sons. especially admirable since w/ the initiating event being shocking and violent it could’ve easily devolved into sensationalized “true” crime slop. though i appreciate it’s conciseness i would’ve welcomed a longer runtime if it meant deeper explorations of the manosphere, ie how exactly young boys are being groomed into it. also raised my eyebrow when i saw brad pitt as an executive producer, but when it comes to large scale projects like this you have to remember it’s the work of many more people.
