One of the first books and movies my dad showed me so the real insight here is Lord of the Rings will always hold an extremely special place in my heart. The magic, scale, and adventure from this trilogy is something that is still unmatched in my mind. On the other hand, me personally, I simply would not be corrupted by the ring. I just got it like that and I know I would’ve done things the Fellowship couldn’t even conceive

The most 2003 movie to ever 2003. Saw it with a Thai friend for the bit and while we were locked in, it was mainly due to how nostalgic we felt. Seeing long ass chase scenes, long ass fight scenes, and triple stacked slow motion replays of flying knees was kind of worth it. Would not watch again but glad I watched in the first place

Father Jud will you pray for me? Was feeling sad about many things and wanted to watch this again. That single scene hits like a truck driving through a brick wall, and a crushing sense of loneliness combines with a wash over of love and empathy. I’m not sure what it is but to see Jud open up and show such a capacity to love and care for someone else at a moment of extreme stress for himself, makes me love everything about his character and how to be more godly even if you don’t believe.
