Ken Park
A disturbing and beautiful masterpiece — it really amazed me.I love Larry Clark's work; he's so fucking talented.I can definitely understand why his work might not appeal to some people, but I don't agree with labeling him as merely exploitative. He's someone who doesn't sugarcoat his stories — someone who tries to tell them as objectively as possible — and I can't help but respect him for that.People can complain all they want, but if you can't understand his vision, then who cares? Movies aren't made for everyone.Art hurts sometimes. Sometimes art is confrontational.
"They're making love to each other in the most beautiful way. I thought, this is the way the film should end, and this is a way to have an uplifting ending — to show that maybe these kids will be okay because they have each other."
