Hamnet
this film is so intimate. every silence in every frame speaks louder than the breeze in the air. every time i see hamnet, i get teared up. jesse buckley's acting was so beautiful, id sue the oscars if she doesnt get that trophy. seeing jesse buckley and emily watson being like a mother daughter trope again like from chernobyl breaks me. cinematography is very beautiful. that scene where they all directs their hand to the actor might be the most beautiful moment yet in cinema i have seen. i though have yet to learn what the play meant. i got so shocked when it turned out this was a biopic for william shakespear? paul mescal's acting may not have been the best, but he played it at his best. i genuinely want this to win best picture. this and sinners.
update: the tiktok edits ruined me more. seeing hamnet's moments before he died made me feel someone in me. give jessie buckley that oscar and that blonde hamnet kid's oscar too immediately!
