what beauty there is in dreaming and kindness, as it keeps the wind rising

the waffle house map montage makes me cry just at the thought of it

this film perfectly captures senior year at an all girls school and the passage of time through teenagehood. upon rewatching this the night before my own graduation, I am left with such bittersweet nostalgia, as well as an ever present hope for what is to come. the ending scene gets me crying every time. I cannot wait to cry with my mom tomorrow.
