Living for those moments when images move across screens and everyone go oooh aaah

In true Nolan fashion, somebody has to go get this guy in touch with a better dialogue writer. At this point it's just an accepted bit. There were some decent monologues but a general slog of exposition-like speech is the bulk of what's keeping this going. I'd bet that even while this is no doubt a five star film, there is a longer, better, full rating film in here that really spends more time embellishing each chapter of the epic in a way I'm sure Nolan was fighting tooth and nail with studio heads to produce. Basically, the pace is heavily felt. There is a balance to this though being released in a day where getting attention spans en masse for a 150+ minute film is a rarity. A few select sequences here will be replaying in my head until the next time I can watch this again. Those being the blood pumping goosebump-activating grandiose moments that only IMAX sound/picture could deliver. Cast is totally working their magic here not just in emotion but even physical fortitude by keeping up with a film of this scale. I'd love to watch this again relishing in every swing and chord Nolan fires up honoring Homer's classic. Job well done, yet again. "Are you a god, plate-licker?"

Opposite of depression is expression. The Movie. "Being conscious of everything only to live a bit longer is the worst thing we can do."

The creeping hypnosis maintained at times shakes your core. There is a peace and devastation to this film that isn't often balanced this well in many other voyage story structures such as Sirāt is able to compose. Sensorial mediation at its peak. "It's been the end of the world for a long time."
