hmm i was so surprised that this movie has an average of 4.3, obviously with MY basic taste id** **love any movie that tends to be known as good but the absolute movie-hating nerds on this app give THIS a 4.3??? i understand the significance of this film on…well film overall but holy crap i will never understand these wanna-be critics. ahem, yap yap yap, the MOVIE!!! i spent THREE dollars on this so it wasn’t going to be terrible and if it was, instant half star. but this movie was the first black and white ive ever seen which didnt really change anything for me. this movie was actually scary to me, i feel like so many horrors are predictable and the same thing nowadays but i* *didn’t know how a 1960 horror movie would be like, the black and white made it scarier despite my recent claim and i just thought that it was very paranoid all the time even though barely any of the movie has remotely scary stuff. now i was feeling four stars the whole time, but that climax, what’s the film even remembered for? the climax and following ending, duhhh. when the girl went into the basement, the skeleton was insanely scary to me, i don’t know why, but i** **genuinely didn’t see that coming and it scared me, then norman ran down dressed like that and THAT was frightening, seeing him fully in the persona and looking so insane was really scary and the knife, that was a huge knife, then the explanation of his actions was very intriguing and made me give it a whole extra half-star, then at the end that smile, ooh im still paranoid. overall i loved this movie, i was scared the whole time, but its a classic horror movie for a reason, would recommend. plus im not gay like at all but norman bates is hot. 92/365

really good plot, like really freakin good. it’s not really that scary like at all but it’s still good without horror. 91/365

one of my most anticipated films of the year, i read most of the book and loved it, the excitement of it being on my birthday, everything was perfect to influence me to buy a ticket to see it in imax. it was beautiful in imax too! i caught a bit of a regular showing and it didn't look as good, like at all. now that that's out of the way, the movie. the idea of the plot was basic, go to far away space to save planet because it dying. like blah blah blah just the same thing as EVERY other space movie, but unlike EVERY other space movie, this was one of the best science fiction films i've ever seen. the plot was so good, the idea of astrophage and the entire project is really smart and thought out well, but if we're being honest, i think ryan gosling needs to get out of the middle of the poster and make way for the REAL star of the movie, the huge rock spider alien, rocky, rocky didn't feel like an alien for very long, by the time he moved in with grace, it was like he was just another character and he was just as human as the rest, except with poor grammar. rocky was really funny too, the mix of poor grammar and an overall hilarious personality made him impossible not to love, so many iconic quotes from the movie. but don't let the humor take away from any of the serious things in the film, which were written nicely, also adrian (the planet) was beautiful, all the colors and stuff looked unbelievable on the big screen. the third act of the film felt long though, like boringly long, but overall the ending was great. overall the film was very well written, it's a great adaptation of the source material, it's funny, it's beautiful, and there's little to dislike. project hail mary is the best movie released in 2026 so far, yes, better than the gay motorcycle movie with the fat annoying kid from harry potter, and yes, even better than the chris pratt ai thriller. 90/365

first thought is that it is absolutely 100 percent, undoubtably a better movie than the first one, everything they did right in the first one was done better here and everything that sucked was mostly fixed. it was more violent and more funny while being less stupid, all the characters were well written and thought out when last film there was less characters and they were all copy paste rich satanists. yes, that's right, we upgraded to rich satanists with personalities. the family dynamic between grace and faith isn't original but it's still executed nicely. i thought samara weaving had a pretty weak performance, that's my only issue with the movie. it was creative funny and violent. would recommend. 89/365
