GoodFellas

Martin Scorsese is a master at showcasing the gritty reality of the mafia, and Goodfellas is the perfect example. The character dynamics here are brilliant. Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, and Joe Pesci play completely different personalities that clash beautifully. Despite covering decades of a mafia life from childhood to adulthood, the 2.5 hour runtime is so well paced and never wastes a single second. Combined with an amazing soundtrack, it almost makes the lifestyle look tempting. Easily one of Scorsese’s top tier films.
