Travis Bickle truly depicts an introvert, antisocial, a person who has no goals, but once he has a goal, he is truly unpredictable. The atmosphere offered in this film, especially at night, truly depicts the atmosphere of New York City which is full of crime that Travis hates, so he uses the metaphor of rain having to clean up the trash, and in the end he becomes the rain. People like Travis are scarier than ghosts or ordinary criminals.
