love how all the men who watched this movie discovered basic empathy and manners, thank you james gunn

it wasn’t so emotionally provoking yet i was disgusted by men there specifically elvis, literally from the very beginning. one of the things the movie did great was the way cailee showed how all-consuming its to fall in love especially at such a young age. she was a very soft and sweet girl, full of hope and an idea of a perfect man which elvis absolutely wasn’t. i was especially full of rage when this dumbass tried to seem so intelligent by reading books, yet was completely oblivious to his attitude and behavior toward poor priscilla. i really love sofia coppola’s work, the visual parts of the movie were absolutely gorgeous but the script.. eh to me it felt very performative. we are supposed to see everything from cilla’s pov and in my opinion it should be detailed, full spectrum of emotions, feelings, thoughts, depth, however it surely lacks everything from the above. the aesthetic was clearly prioritized over character development, movie wasn’t too rushed but.. it still felt like it. and honestly i think elvis was more cruel towards cilla than the movie showed us :/

the new scooby-doo movie looks so good
