Moonlight

Man…people were NOT lying about this movie. Easily one of the greatest films ever made. Everyone is this film is both perfectly cast and deserves an Oscar, with obvious going to all three actors for Chiron. I was also hypnotized every time Naomie Harris (Paula) was onscreen, what a generational talent. I hope she’s in more films like this in the future because oh my god. And of course the writing, cinematography, lighting, allll broke the rules and build something truly beautiful and unique. All complete with this hauntingly ethereal soundtrack. SO GOOD. I don’t even know what else to say about this movie that hasn’t already been said. Maybe my favorite Best Picture winner, or at least up there with *Parasite. * Community quote: “This is the greatest show I’ve ever seen in my entire life.” (Pretend he said movie)
