Just a girl who likes watching films with the [Mr](https://boxd.it/fmmp)

It pains me to say that I wasn’t obsessulated with Part 2. Part 1 felt magical, I’ve rewatched it so many times and I love everything about it but this felt like the Tinman; it had no heart. The scene in the castle when Elphie casts the spell to help Fiyero was probably the only bit of “magic” I felt. It didn’t nearly touch the standard of the first one. It completely rushed from plot point to plot point and had no soul to it; even the subplot of Dorothy and gang was rushed. I expected them to have very little scenes in the movie but they completely brushed over Dorothy, Scarecrow and Tinman, at least the Cowardly Lion’s story had more oomph to it. For a musical it really disappointed me. There weren’t any outstanding songs and I didn't particularly like that they reused songs from part 1 over and over again. At some points of the film it made sense and it was nice to hear familiar songs but I really expected its own songs to be more special than they actually were. At LEAST I still loved the casting and costumes and set design however the awful CGI of youngifying the Wizard was laughable. I will be rewatching and hopefully I like it more after a second watch but for now I unfortunately wasn’t changed for good.

Only watched this for Miss Swift but she was only in it for a few minutes so I decided to give the rest of it a chance, boy do I regret that.
