Nosferatu

Seeing this in the cinema was an amazing experience! The visuals are so beautifully haunting throughout the whole movie and so is the costume designs. Dare I say I’m jealous of Ellen’s wardrobe?  I really like this design of Count Orlok, I like the accuracy to the time period and that he quite literally looks like he’s decaying. (Finally an unpleasant looking vampire).  Then we have the sound effects + score. Wow, I’m so astonished by the “slurping” sounds, I quite literally sat with my eyes wide open and jaw on the floor. It sounded so uncomfortably cool. I really enjoyed the score throughout the movie, it fits the atmosphere perfectly. Then we gothic atmosphere, mwah. I was already a big fan of the 1920s Nosferatu and had high hopes for this one, and I was not disappointed. I’m also a very big fan of Robert Eggers, so this one was a must watch for me.
