Persona
This gotta to be one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever watched, every shot felt like a masterpiece. It’s such a visually striking movie and I just sat there admiring all of them. Well, it’s no surprise since it’s an Ingmar Bergman movie, and he’s known for having such beautiful and unique movies. And he’s definitely one of my favourite directors for that, I truly love his work.
It was such interesting plot, exploring Alma’s and Elisabeth’s diverse personalities and how they act around each other. Even though Elisabeth is for the most part of the movie quiet and bitter, her character still radiates so much depth and complexity that I quite admire. While Alma’s is more outspoken and quite literally to opposite of Elisabeth. They both are such interesting characters.
I loved all the psychological elements in this movie, I’m such a sucker for psychological thrillers and enjoy movies where we get to look into the humans psyche. Now that’s was what I really found interesting about this movie. It felt so fascinating but yet a bit difficult to comprehend fully. Maybe it’s up to each and one of us to interpret the story.
