Sentimental Value

Wow, so glad I finally got to watch this movie. I’ve been waiting, and it was definitely worth the wait. I don’t think I have the right words to describe how much I adored this movie. It was a very touching and deep movie with amazing performances and an incredibly well done script. The cinematography is stunning and I especially loved that last scene. Renate Reinsve may as well be one of my favourite anctors ever. Remember the first time I saw her in “Verdens verste menneske” and thought she was phenomenal. Now seeing her in this made me once again realize how good of an actor she truly is. No shit she’s got an Oscar nomination for this role. Stellan Skarsgård, never fails to amaze me. Proud Swede over here. It’s such a relief to see him act in a Swedish role. It feels so much more real and true. Stellan put so much into this role, and I sure hope he wins that Oscar for it. Also when “Cannock Chase” by Labi Siffre started playing in the end I got so emotional. Love that song and this movie.
