Incendies
I thought the most terrified a movie ever can make me was Requiem for a Dream but this one is way out of league. It sets up the story well and portrays a realistic middle east image and let the audience to get into the chaos with everyone else. The twist in the end hit me like a truck and i am still affected by the Radiohead soundtracks. Plus that major gasp and the moment children were shot(both of the scenes) I felt my heart clench for a second with a pressure that a jump-scare never could cause in me. It was both the building of the tension and the suddenness of the sound but i just wanted to add this to my review cuz i dont quite remember experiencing anything like it. Anyways, this movie is a must-watch if you want to feel something or to be reminded of the permanent damage wars cause to people, especially women and children.
