Perfect Blue
i love how this movie portrays how having an obsessive stalker feels like, one that watches every move. also, there's more to it than just that, because he also can't accept the fact that mima is changing her career path, also him making an online site were he would write diary entries like it was the real mima talking, after stalking every single move of hers. this makes her feel like her old self, which refers to herself as "the real mima" (the pop star one) is hunting her, making her appear in different settings next to cham. the stalker starts killing people associated with her, for example the screenwriter of the show she stars in. the movie, in my opinion, does a good job showing how having a stalker while being really famous feels like (not that i know how it feels like but you get the idea). the scene of the shooting of the rape scene is really messed up and it literally made me sick. one thing i noticed is that the screenwriter and the photographer who got killed by her stalker, had that fate because, in the stalker's opinion, they ruined the "real" mima's image. he also believes that mima is not the real mima, and that the real mima is nice, emails him every day and wouldn't do such things (film rape scenes and take naked pictures), and tries to kill her.
the last 30 minutes of the film were INSANELY confusing for me, i couldn't even tell what was real anymore, if she was dreaming or not, if everything was actually happening or not. the movie was well made, i liked the sound effects, animations and character designs
