Coherence
I was engaged all throughout the film (except for the first 10mins maybe lmao because of the chaos) as it put me on the edge of my seat and made my palms sweat. The suspense and twist and turns of each scene made it interesting till the end.
What I Like
- The concept itself was interesting which made me want to watch it in the first place.
- The limitation of being in just one location makes the film more thrilling since there is no sense of time or much changes until the events unfold itself to reveal new mind-boggling situations.
- The way they foreshadowed the events were at a good pace and they didn’t give too much information to spoil the next events.
- Discovered that the film had quite a low budget with lots of improvisation, and that the actors were only given notecards about their own character and their motivations so they didn’t really know how the other actors would play out their characters which made the reactions interesting and natural.
- The cast had a natural chemistry to them. It seemed very natural like they were long time friends.
- At times you’d feel like you’re part of their friend group because of the camera angle.
What I Don’t Like
- 2 of the male characters look so alike, it got quite confusing to differentiate them at times. Although I can easily tell that one of them looks/feels more like a chaotic Chandler Bing.
- The introduction seemed a bit chaotic but I realized that in a natural setting, that’s how actual conversations among a group of friends happen. Just pure chaos.
- Good ending but could be better.
