Challengers
Holy shit
Where do I even begin with this movie. Coming in I already knew basically everything that was going to happen but I've never watched the full movie before and I'm so glad I did . I love the fact that we go from present to past because it gives us some much context to what's going on . The camera work , omg the camera work was literally perfection , the pov shot of the tennis ball had me in a trance . THE SCORE . The kiss scene had me SAT.
Now the whole trio are very fucked up people , mainly tashi . Tashi only cares about tennis and that's it . She didn't care about being loved or any of that . She was in it for the love of the game . And I kinda have to give her points for that. I lowkey really liked her until she cheated on Art .
I really feel like Art loved her so much and It was just sad to see that happen. Art was so gentle with her compared to Patrick . The scene where after Tashi gets injured and they're playing tennis together , and Tashi calls him a pussy for being afraid that he'll injure her again , really showed how much art cared for Tashi. I love Art but he is also a jerk. The sauna scene was lowkey heartbreak . "I'm just stopping by , you live here" like damn. He really diminished he's whole friendship with Patrick for Tashi aka the love of the game .
I feel iffy about Patrick , he's cool and everything but I believe he's the main reason why Tashi got injured . Patrick didn't love Tashi . He loved Art . I do think he was trying to make amends with Art again but that kinda fell apart . He's was def more in the wrong than Art was .
Tashi was a homewrecker
