Amélie

Amélie is about a lot of things. Humanity, finding love, growing up, growing old, figuring out how to live. It manages to tackle all of these and a heap more, all linking back to the titular character, a idealistic girl who decides to make small changes for the people around her, which the audience gets to see gradually bloom throughout the film. And all of it feels so real, like I’m just watching and hearing actual conversations people would have, albeit through Amélie’s imaginative lens.
