This is what is cinema is supposed to look like. The movies cinematography and costume design is some of of not the best I will probably ever see.Overall the acting was brilliant especially from Michael and the godfather. The use of music was masterful.I felt that the camera was used so creatively with the many chosen shots especially in murder scenes. All of this created this highly stylised and attractive world building. Some points in the plot built tension em very well and seemed purposeful and entertaining whereas others felt way to slow and pointless which didn’t summon t to anything in the story. The pace was to slow for me ;i got bored 😐.The movie looked and sounded beautiful but it was not the perfect masterpiece I expected it to be.The plot left me feeling confused at times and not knowing how to feel as some characters felt unexplored or difficult to feel for as their moral ambiguity was present. SPOILERS I loved the baptism scene and the ending shots. They made me look forward to part 2 .The start section before micheal went on holiday was much better than after. After that it felt kind of lost and didn’t go anywhere. The fight scene or beating up scene was so poorly done it tea disappointed me because the set and camera were brilliant but actors and acc let it down.I actually found the godfathers voice abit too much and couldn’t understand it at all at times. Absolutely would recommend watching.

This movie was harrowing. The concept of this was heartbreaking in such a moral, human and empathetic way that many “thriller”movies miss out on.I feel that the acting performances were some of the most real Ive ever seen especially from hugh jackman. He filled the long close up shots to the point of me wanting them to last a little longer.I love the moral dilemmas the the movie faces you with with battles on religion and basic human rights and morals. No spoilers here but the plot twist had my mouth open for so long that it hurt.It was so shocking and unexpected to which the point where after the shock faded I felt a little dissatisfied with it.Its a well made endearing that is interesting at a moral and religious (again) standpoint and it does fit but it doesn’t scratch the itch I wanted it to.The few fast scenes really felt heart racing and had me fighting for the desirable outcome. However I felt some scene orders felt repetitive such as SPOILERS: when the two dads repeatedly torture him to no result and when the old lady is giving instructions. The long cinematic shots were brilliant as always from Denny V and I also particularly loved the music and how it was varied on and sparingly used to enhance that heart drop feeling.Rewatch value seems below par as the things that values it’s run time is shock factor. One of the better Denis Villevinue films in my opinion.

Blade Runner 2049 This movie tested me morally. It constantly baits you into trying to evoke emotion from what is fake.It asks you:Can we feel empathy for what pretends to something emotionless, are we more moral than them, how are we different or better than them? The concept of this film is vividly interesting and thought provoking, however the way that it is told is not the best.My biggest critique of the movie was the main character;an emotionless figure.Really? It made the movie really drag at times along with the sloooooow cinematic shots and slightly monotonous plot line; look for something, find something. Nevertheless the cinematography was beautiful.I loved the use of lighting and and the slow chosen shots. The music enhanced this further and added emotional tension to the scenes. This movie took me weeks to finish however. I find it intriguing how we only hear the characters name something like 2 hours into the film and that also the first time we hear an equal “human” conversation.Additionally i loved the “interlinked” scenes.Ill admit I didn’t fully understand the plot but I didn’t feel like I fully needed to.The director (can’t spell name🤦♂️) portrayed a fascinating moral concept explored beautifully in every aspect and that is what I love about it.

It was pretty good.I loved Wes Anderson’s signature narration style. The story was huge and unexpected.
