I had to re review this movie simply for the impact it had on me.This is the First movie I’ve ever cried to.It wasnt even the movie that made me, it was the review that said this movie is for all the Elio’s in the world whi feel the same why.Well………..i dont like to admit it but I’m one of them.I feel like a freak .I feel confused.I feel all the things Elio felt and now instead of pushing ot away like I always do , I had to watch it play out in front of my eyes.Would I rather speak or would I rather die??I wish I had people of different genders to love me so I could be confused.I just feel nothing. And now I have a painful burning desire to live in Italy.I literally felt depressed the day after watching this.DEPRESSED. “(whispers) elio elio elio elio elio elio” “(whispers back) oliver oliver oliver oliver oliver “ “It is better to speak than to die”

This movie is just perfection. At the start for a second i had doubts that that this film would me more amateur than i remember or that the 10/10 soundtrack that I’ve listened through the movie and the album would get monotonous, but somehow it’s just gets better. The dialogue-legendary,perfect.The acting- spectacular. The editing- so good I forgot they were even there!!!!God amd it’s just so well paced too.I love the cyclical structure of the fall and recovery shown in the dromroll. And how the drumroll almost even foreshadows the whole film.Relentless, obsessive repetition growing more and more and more NEVER stopping.I also believe the movie criticised fletchers tough love style not only for its literal kill count but also for the ending scene. The final section where Nieman finally reached his potential ; fletcher supported him.He put his cymbal back uo when it fell He , who Nieman desperately seeks approval of , instructed him.Maybe all Nieman neede from ….even just one person was to not hold him back, to do the opposite.Whiplash will always have a place in my heart as a fellow jazz enthusiast and as the true first perfect movie I watched. PS: Fletcher definitely took the folder Im SOOO sure

A wonderful heartbreaking tearjerking love story.Every scene felt purposeful, beautiful and fitting to the aesthetic of the piece .The colouring felt so nostalgic.Love is so confusing for Elio. And for me to understand some of why and what he and Oliver did for amd against eachother. So confusing.Abit too long.

This movie was pretty good and also pretty disappointing for me .I know my opinion is unpopular but for a theme based movie i just did not care about the theme enough.I found teh character progressions and stories interesting as well as the amazing visuals and music at times, but I found myself a little bored and wanting yh movie to be over already.Much preferred the shining to this.
