Heat
Helluva movie. I can see where Nolan used this film as heavy inspiration for The Dark Knight and it made me love Heat that much more. Incredible acting from a stacked cast from top to bottom. De Niro and Pacino with a side of Kilmer, Sizemore, Voight, and even young Portman all pack a punch in one of the best heist movies of all time.
My biggest complaint with this movie is probably its inconsistent sound editing. I’m not sure if it’s just a problem with Netflix where I watched it but some scenes were quiet as a mouse and then there’s gunshots and it sounds like my bedroom is in the middle of the shootout.
It took me a while to get to this, but I’m sure glad I did. A new movie has entered my Top 100.
