Hell or High Water
Palate cleanser late last night after Eddington. My favorite western and my favorite heist movie of all time. Pine and Bridges are amazing, but Ben Foster has one of my favorite acting performances of the last 10 years. Taylor Sheridan’s Frontier trilogy of banger neo-westerns is arguably my #2 trilogy of all time after Lord of the Rings with this ranking second of the trilogy behind Sicario. This movie is perfect and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. I love the dead towns of Texas and the desert landscape. I love the performances. I love the reasoning behind why the brothers are robbing these banks. A masterpiece in my eyes.
