Mostly spectacle but I would def watch again! To adapt something as ambitious as *The Odyssey* while also facing runtime constraints because, let’s face it, Universal would never distribute a movie over three hours long, means that massive chunks of the original text will be glossed over. Not thrilled about it but this works for what it is. Nolan directed the hell out of this, even if it meant including some superhero moments that felt too *Dark Knight*-esque. The script is by far his weakest one to date, and why is Robert Pattinson so bad in this? A lot right and a lot wrong with this one.
