The Notebook

okay so i just finished this movie and wow… i did NOT expect to be destroyed like this. i don't think ive ever cried over a movie like this before, from start till the end but the parts that hit… they really hit. like when they dance for the first time in the street, and then years later, when they’re old, dancing in the nursing home. and those lyrics playing softly in the background — i’ll be looking at the moon, —but i’ll be seeing you’ that line shattered me. it’s such a small detail, but it sums up everything about this movie. love that survives time, distance, memory loss, everything.
