A Time to Kill
How does a movie get Samuel L Jackson, Kevin Spacey and Matthew Mcconaughey in a courtroom and this is how it pans out? Sandra Bullock. What are you even doing here. They wanted to include a female role in love with Mcconaughey for what? To touch all bases??? SLJ managed to raise this movie rating by a bit even though he and the rest of the cast were completely under utilised. Who the fuck is Mickey Mouse? What too fucking afraid to let your white characters die?? Oh No!, the KKK is back and the WHITE guy is suffering!! But wait his dog is alive his family is safe and he got to win the trial. YAY.
The scene where SLJ outlines that Mcconaughey is a part of the problem is completely disregarded right after and throughout the entire fucking movie. But it's ok he gets to have peach cobbler and someone to play with his daughter.
OMG thanks Ms. Brigade. NO shit that he would've done the fucking same that was the only point of Sandra's scene at claude's and you just rendered her purpose to show your husband that he isn't who he thinks he is useless. He doesn't even recall or care about what she said to him even though the college student is the reason he won an impossible case. We instead get a very emotional and meaningful scene of her checking out his ass cheeks. A scene that truly enlightens him to the moral complication of vigilantism and capital punishment.
Mr Matthew the amazing fucking lawyer that was nagging his client in prison to cough up an extra 100 dollars so his daughter can eat, yet manages to book 2 tickets for his wife and daughter and act as if he is being fucking overworked when Sandra Bullock hands him everything on a fucking plate. He gets to have a week or two away from his ball and chain and have dinner with a hot college student who does almost all his work for him at no cost.
Sandy. Wants to make institutional impact and abolish the cruel death sentence, she finds precedents, she gets taken by the fucking Klan. All of that just to be in the fucking hospital in the final scene.
I am trying to think of what Mr Matthew did the entire time prepping for trial, reviewing black owned restaurants??. Time for summation? Well let's throw all the fucking legal work out the window and I'll freestyle some irrelevant shit even though he is, as he says, a young and inexperienced lawyer.
He didn't even do any type of legal work besides being an advocate in court that to remind you spent half the fucking trial talking about another topic at hand. And the fucking pathetic cuck judge what the fuck are you mute? Your court room sounds like a fucking elementary debate class purposely strawmaning the entire fucking time.
Did the movie manage to show systemic failings and marginalisation of Black people in the south back in the day or the moral dilemma presented with vigilantism? No, but most importantly it showed us the rise of some bumfuck b tech pussy KKK who did fuck all the entire fucking movie but rob Roark from attending the trial that she carried on her fucking shoulder.
