Frankenstein
elizabeth did what i’ve wanted to do this entire film. that slap is simply not enough.
it’s kind of funny—not really—that when you originally think of Frankenstein, without having read the book or known anything about the story of this, you think the monster is the man built from dead men scraps, yet know it all makes much more sense, once you realize the monster is Victor himself. when he calls him “wicked and destroyed” he is looking at himself in the mirror, which is one of the many symbolisms i found in this film, which is truly marvelous.
“you may be my creater, but from this day forward i will be your master.” YESSS GIRL
it’s great. great movie. i’m at a physical need to read the book.
my true reaction to all of this is “good god.” that’s quite literally what i said throughout it all.
