Juno
I think he was always hers.
I already wrote an essay on this movie in college so I will refrain from doing so again on Letterboxd, but every rewatch I find new elements that I adore. This time around I was particularly obsessed with what a great, underrated character the stepmom is. Specifically when she acts as the voice of reason after Juno arrives home from the horribly uncomfortable drop in with Mark. Of course, Sea of Love playing as the shot pans to the framed note on the wall will forever have me inconsolable. Just perfect.
