it makes me feel like i’ve never experienced life in its entirety, or had a childhood i should have truly cherished. there’s a lots of good quotes. “i wish the hell i was your dad. you wouldn’t be going around talking about some stupid shop courses if i was. it’s like God gave you something, man, all those stories that you can make up. He said “ This is what We got for you, kid. Try not to lose it”. kids lose everything unless there’s someone to look out for them. if your parents are too fucked up to do it, then maybe i should.” gordie was the reason chris lived to see old age. and one scene where they were playing at the pond, “act like your age” “this is my age. i’m in the prime of my youth, and i’ll only be young once” “yeah but you’re gonna be stupid for the rest of your life” which actually shows how tyler grown up to be a very playful man and end up having a sketchy life. this is such a great film. a lot good stuff came out of it if you’re being observant.

that part when she asks her mom if she likes her and her mom says "of course I love you" and she says "yeah but do you like me" and her mom just looks at her and then says "i... just want you to be the best version of yourself that you can be" and lady bird says "what if this is the best version of myself?" and her mom just looks at her.. it stings my heart. “love and attention” relates with the relationship w her mother.. where ladybird pays attention so much that it become the way she expresses love. the way she pinpoints everything about her (her actions, how she speaks, how she advices) ultimately making it a different way to show her love. i think the quote isn't just saying love and paying attention but offering your attention to those small things no one else can see is love. then you see how little attention people give ladybird in her life throughout the movie..

i like how it correlates with the 1997 one.. and its kinda predictable because of the patterns, but this one’s plot was a bit bland.. it was understandable but i feel like its lacking something. i usually find actors who film tv shows/ series can’t do other characters but Madelyn cline performance was greatly delivered. and plus point for the last scene, it really shows how close these actors are behind cameras (top notch chemistry).

this feels so similar to ‘how to lose a guy in 10 days’ except the role is reversed but im still up for it!! it was a great movie, very predictable plot, i mean maybe thats the point of romcoms you know. James Marsden should be in more romance, not just play as second lead in them 😭. i reckon the chemistry was there maybe a solid 8.
