Roma
This film hits different with its black-and-white visuals and chill, slow-paced storytelling. It’s about a woman named Cleo, a maid in 1970s Mexico City, dealing with family drama and a society in chaos. The film’s all about raw emotion, tackling class, love, and what it means to belong. This film makes us see that we should be grateful for the lives we have with our families with people that love us. I think that Roma (2018) reflects in someway about the difficultties of women especially in the lower classes, being a maid while having so much going on and not being able to take care of yourself first it's really struggling. (side note: the beach scene was something else)
