I do love a sequel that takes place right from the end of the first film. Honestly this film was a lot of more of the same, but I’m okay with that. I think actually enjoyed the bad guys in this film a little more. Since they’re all from different family’s there is a lot more diversity in personality. I could kinda take or leave the addition of the sister I think it worked for the story but didn’t do anything amazing. I do feel like the location was a little underused. Apart from a few sequences I felt it could have done more.  All in all a very fun film and a good sequel. I would happily watch a third installment.

Really Evil Dead 2 vibes with this and I couldn’t be happier. Some really great and batshit violence and gore. I think had some really fun camera moves and cinematography, that gave the film a lot of character. Some of the dialogue was a little clunky. A lot of just shouting your relation with specific characters and some ADR’d exposition that was very unneeded. Additionally, there were couple elements and plot points in the film that felt left over from previous drafts of past scripts. But what a silly and fun film!

Took me far too long to get round to watching this. Really scratched that Evil Dead 2 for me.  The ending absolutely brought this form 4 to 5 stars for me and it was an amazing choice to take it in the direction they did.

May be one of the best films ever made
