Simple, fun, relatable.
Coming of age films typically tend to feel the same for me (not a bad thing), but this one struck a cord in a different way I haven’t experienced in a long time. I love that the mom and the kid speak in different languages. It’s the same way I sometimes talk to my parents; and a lot of these conversations feel like something that could genuinely transpire between us. We both have our own struggles and sometimes we forget that.
Very nice! Should’ve watched this instead of A Real Pain a couple days ago 🗿.
